Membership
Servite Housing Association currently has 129 registered members. People who live in the communities that Servite serve and those who are interested in helping us achieve our objectives are actively encouraged to take up membership of the Association. The fee for membership is £1. Servite encourages membership from a range of social backgrounds and ethnic origins.
Who Can Join?
Because Servite Housing Association seeks members from all parts of the community, membership applications are welcomed from:
-
Tenants
-
Service users and other customers
-
Other residents in areas within which it operates
-
People who can make a positive contribution based on their business, professional or social experience skills
Why should I join?
Membership entitles you to participate in the development of quality services for a range of customers and allows you to make a personal contribution to the growth of Servite. Every member is invited to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and any Special General Meetings (SGM). Reasonable expenses for attendance are reimbursed. Should you wish to become more involved in Servite's work, you may stand for election to the Committee of Management at the AGM.
Equality and Diversity
Servite will strive to ensure its membership reflects the communities it serves. Membership will be open to all those entitled to join regardless of colour, race, nationality, ethnic or national origins, gender, disability, age and sexuality.
Membership of the Board
Servite currently has a Management Committee of 9 members elected annually by the membership. Any member can stand for election to the Board at Servite's AGM. The Board has the power to appoint Board members to fill vacancies on the Board between AGMs.
