Sharing owners
Servite manages 150 properties on behalf of the owner-occupiers. These are specially designed properties, incorporating many features valued by older house buyers, which can provide comfort, safety and security.
Shared ownership housing provides accommodation for independent people who do not require any help or support. Individuals can opt to purchase a part share of their home in tranches of 25%, 50% or 75%. The remaining share is owned by Servite and the occupier pays rent for this.
Our homes
Our shared ownership housing units are self-contained flats and cottages. They have one or two bedrooms, a living room, separate kitchen and bathroom. All benefit from full central heating, double glazing and good insulation. They also have added security and safety features such as door entry systems and smoke alarms.
Communal facilities
Some shared ownership housing (particularly flats), has communal facilities, such as a laundry, guest room, gardens and common parts, like stairwells and corridors. These will be monitored and maintained by Servite.
Support services
A comprehensive maintenance service is provided to our shared ownership housing to maintain these communal facilities, for external repairs and for grounds maintenance. Owner occupiers pay a small monthly charge to cover the costs of this service.
