Servite Ventures Ltd
Role within the Group
Servite Ventures Ltd is a wholly owned commercial subsidiary of Servite Housing Association. Whilst being non-charitable the overarching aim of Servite Ventures Ltd will contribute to the group by developing alternative forms of housing and complementary commercial activities. Surpluses generated will be reinvested to increase the capacity to develop or fed back into social housing via gift aid to Servite Housing Association, its charitable parent.
Initially Servite Ventures Ltd will deliver and expand a range of services such as home help and factoring which are currently being carried out by the housing association. Further development of these services beyond our tenants and residents cannot be undertaken by Servite Housing Association as this would breach charitable legislation.
It is planned to introduce a degree of flexibility into the group's development programme as Servite Ventures Ltd can undertake mixed affordable/commercial projects which complement the housing association's traditional programme.
Strategic Priorities
Servite Ventures Ltd. has defined its strategic activities for achieving the group business objectives around the following theme:
Business Growth - construction and sale of housing; provision of market or mid market rented properties; provision of demand led services and delivery of factoring services.
